Senior Lawyer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Lawyer who can independently manage complex legal matters, advise corporate clients, identify and mitigate legal risks, and provide practical, business-oriented solutions.

Qualifications

• Higher Education in Law: A degree in law is required; a Master’s degree or other advanced legal qualification will be considered an advantage.
• Professional Experience: At least 3 years of relevant professional legal experience, preferably in a law firm, consulting company, or corporate legal department.
• Corporate & Commercial Law Expertise: Strong knowledge and practical experience in corporate and commercial law, corporate governance, contract law, labor law, intellectual property, civil, tax, migration, and administrative matters.
• Contract Drafting & Negotiation: Strong experience in independently drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and revising complex commercial contracts and agreements.
• Corporate Documentation: Extensive experience in preparing and reviewing corporate documents, including founding documents, charters, amendments, shareholder and board resolutions, corporate approvals, and restructuring documentation.
• Legal Analysis & Risk Assessment: Ability to independently analyze complex legal matters, identify legal and regulatory risks, and develop practical solutions and recommendations.
• Client Management: Ability to communicate directly with clients, understand their business objectives, provide clear legal advice, and independently manage assigned matters.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical judgment and the ability to develop practical legal solutions rather than merely identify legal issues.
• Leadership: Ability to supervise, review, and provide guidance on the work of junior lawyers and legal assistants.
• Language Skills: Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. Knowledge of French will be considered an advantage.
• Professional Skills: Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently managing complex corporate, commercial, and regulatory legal matters.
• Providing strategic and practical legal advice to local and international corporate clients.
• Drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and finalizing complex contracts and commercial agreements.
• Advising clients on corporate governance, corporate structuring, restructuring, and day-to-day corporate matters.
• Preparing and reviewing corporate documentation for commercial and non-commercial entities.
• Advising on labor, intellectual property, tax, civil, migration, and administrative law matters.
• Conducting legal due diligence, legal research, and comprehensive risk assessments.
• Identifying legal and regulatory risks and proposing practical solutions to mitigate them.
• Representing and supporting clients in communications and negotiations with counterparties, authorities, and other stakeholders.
• Managing assigned client matters independently and ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of legal services.
• Reviewing the work of junior lawyers and providing professional guidance and support.
• Contributing to the development of internal legal standards, templates, and best practices.
• Protecting and advancing clients’ legal and commercial interests while maintaining high professional and ethical standards.

The successful candidate should be able to take ownership of a legal matter from initial assessment to final solution, make sound professional judgments, and provide clients with clear, actionable recommendations.
