Finance Analyst

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:

• cognaize is creating actionable intelligence from unstructured documents using Deep Learning. Our clients in the financial industry have won several AI awards and efficiently automate data extraction from documents of several types through our support.
• We are looking for an experienced candidate to take the position of a Financial Analyst. The incumbent will be responsible for the following:
• Analysing and processing of financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, Statement of changes in equity) for financial spreading
• Comparison of client accounting guidelines with current accounting standards
• Coordination and explanation of client requests to other departments
• Testing of the internally developed AI application

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree (or last year student) in finance/accounting field;
• Good command of English, both written and verbal;
• Understanding of international accounting standards is a plus;
• Communication skills, and ability to interact professionally with a diverse group;
• Excellent time management and organizational ability;
• Willingness to work overtime, when necessary.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master’s degree (or last year student) in finance/accounting field;
• Knowledge of basic programming and excel tools is a plus;
• Experience in reading financial statements for several US legislation.
